
What can WALDLEBEN do?
WALDLEBEN should be used as a remedy for damaged and diseased plants as well as a preventive restorative treatment to keep them strong. Many diseases and parasites can only attack plants if they are already weak.
WALDLEBEN strengthens the immune system of plant cells and their ability to regenerate through its enzymatic activity and thus restores the vitality of plants. The plant can then fend for itself and ward off diseases and parasites.
WALDLEBEN restores the biological equilibrium of the plant and its environment. By detoxifying and activating the soil, WALDLEBEN enables the plant to flourish optimally without additional fertilisers.
What can’t WALDLEBEN do?
WALDLEBEN is not a fertiliser! It does not stimulate unnatural growth in plants. Even if its success is often clearly visible after even a very short time in weak, diseased, damaged or stressed plants, lasting success is perhaps only observed over several growing seasons due to continued vitality and the absence of damage.
WALDLEBEN is not an insecticide or fungicide based on the effect of poison! In individual cases the treatment must be supplemented with a biological agent to counter special parasites.
In particularly unfavourable situation conditions, such as e.g. heavy soil compaction, WALDLEBEN can only help if these conditions are improved by other suitable measures, e.g. soil aeration.
WALDLEBEN and fertilisers
WALDLEBEN restores the biological equilibrium of the plant and its environment. Nitrogenous fertilisers (mineral salts) in particular destroy the natural equilibrium and symbioses like mycorrhiza on which the plant depends. If the microbial soil life is disturbed, the plant becomes dependent on artificial fertiliser, as the soil itself no longer produces sufficient nutrients.
WALDLEBEN promotes soil activity by increasing the colonisation density of microorganisms. This can be detected through increased CO2 production in the soil, which is caused by the mineralisation of easily decomposable organic substances in the soil. To this end, WALDLEBEN aids the colonisation of the roots by mycorrhiza fungi. If the soil thus produces sufficient nutrients again, additional fertilisation is superfluous. Plants treated with WALDLEBEN might not grow as fast as plants fertilised using mineral salts, but they will remain healthy and vital in the long term.
Administering additional fertiliser is therefore not normally advised. The treatment should only be supplemented by a suitable organic fertiliser in individual cases.
WALDLEBEN and the environment
WALDLEBEN is quickly mineralised in microbially active soils. It has been demonstrated to be harmless even for use in water protection areas, protection zone II.
How does WALDLEBEN work against harmful insects?
WALDLEBEN is not a poison-based insecticide! However, many harmful insects are parasites that can be repelled by a healthy plant in a healthy environment. WALDLEBEN creates suitable conditions for this.
Examples of such insects are: two-spotted spider mites, thrips (known as storm flies), aphids, mealybugs and leaf miners.
How does WALDLEBEN work against heavy metals?
Heavy metals like cadmium, zinc, mercury or copper cause a drastic reduction in root growth. Due to precipitation reactions of the amino acids and organic chelators with metal cations, WALDLEBEN transfers these heavy metals to insoluble compounds (complexation) and forms stable flocculations, which contribute to activation through soil bacteria. This detoxification of the root environment reactivates previously stunted root growth.
How does WALDLEBEN aid the soil?

How does WALDLEBEN promote root and shoot growth?
WALDLEBEN promotes root and shoot growth by stimulating the plant metabolism through enzymatic activity. This causes:
an increase in the formation of small nodules and greater root length.
an increase in the number, and to a lesser extent the length, of shoots due to the activation of dormant buds.
an increase in the size and chlorophyll content of the leaves.
retarded ageing in the autumn.
an increase in the power of resistance to temporary dehydration and nutrient shortages.
How does WALDLEBEN help damaged trees?
WALDLEBEN aids wound-healing by promoting colonisation of the wound surface by certain microorganisms, while protecting against the ingress of wood-destroying fungi. As a result, the wound base remains intact and healing-over is more vigorous.
